The short stories are nearly ready for a new set. Cover art may be the bottle neck this time around, but I always find ways to distract myself so things always end up taking longer than I plan. Still, in that regard I have a lot of nearly finished short stories and cover art to draw on, so that speeds things up somewhat.
I worry that I may be splitting myself too many ways, but I always manage to get something done despite myself, so it works out somehow. Life is going to give me plenty of work in the future so I'm trying to take advantage of the relatively large amounts of free time that I have now.
My current plan is to keep making short stories while working on my novels. At any rate, I keep having new ideas far faster than I could write them even if I filled up all my time writing, and that isn't possible. I'm also planning on dividing the short stories between smaller and larger ones, $0.99 on Amazon for the small ones and $2.99 for the longer ones. I'll probably have quite a few once my first novel becomes ready.
And on that note, I should mention that I plan to have Steel Freedom as my first novel rather than Born of the Fire. Though the latter was technically my first, it works better as a prequel and will likely be more interesting to people already familiar with the universe. It will take longer, naturally, but I'm not too worried about that at the moment because I doubt many people will read this until after all the books I currently have in progress will have been published one way or another.
On a side note, life in Cuenca is awesome, especially living with my parents. School will probably be starting soon and I may even get a girlfriend at some point. For this, and my writing, only time will tell.
